Artist Statement

My art combines sensory observation, concepts and intuition for a synthesis of representation and abstraction.

Intellect, beauty and raw emotion propel my explorations to gain a glimpse of new creations only previously imagined. I delight in metaphors to visualize hidden truths.

The rhythmic lines that dance over the surface are one way I unleash my unconscious. These strings reverberate light energy. They make invisible connections visible.

The strokes of my paintings are often intentionally left exposed to track my motion as well as my emotion.
